These vintage figures complete with original lightsabers and Leia's blaster are getting harder to find, and expensive to acquire! Vintage Return Policy     What is AFA Grading? AFA graded figures are encased in acrylic glass (a hardened transparent plastic that makes display easy and very attractive. AFA grading is costly (running $23 to $80 to grade just one loose vintage figure) and time-consuming, taking 30-40+ business days minimum (not counting weekends or holidays plus the cost of shipping to and from AFA) before returning a figure back from grading. There is also no guarantee what one could expect a particular grade before sending in the figure. Each AFA graded item is cataloged with a unique serial number located inside the case (sealed) and noted in a database for public verification. AFA only grades complete (no missing pieces), authenticated items. We grade most all items so collectors can select the quality level they can afford and desire. Like us, AFA rejects any item from receiving a grade that is deemed to be non-authentic. Due to the time and costs in grade processing, and having an independent company grade and certify the authenticity, AFA graded items tend to deem a significant premium over non-graded items. The higher the grade, the higher the collector premium. Naturally, the more rare the figure will also factor into the collector premium. Over 10 years ago we developed our own preservation system encasing in standard action figure cases with unique serial-numbered tamper-evident hologram seals on all high-end and complete figures with accessories/weapon(s)/ sabers, etc., (as noted on top left of this page in yellow highlight).
