About the Dukes of Hazzard
The Dukes
of Hazzard aired from 1979 to 1985 with 146 episodes.
Staring, John Schneider (Bo Duke) who was previously married to former ABC-TV (Los Angeles, California)
co-anchor and former Miss America, Tawny
Little); Tom Wopat starred as brother (Luke
Duke). Also staring, Catherine
Bach (sister Daisy Duke), Denver Pyle, (Uncle Jessie), Ben Jones (Cooter), Sorrell Booke ("Boss" Hogg), and James Best as Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane!
Ben Jones later served as a member of Congress from Georgia
from 1989 to 1993.
The show's premise was very simple. Good 'ol country boys were constantly being blamed for something by town chief
the greedy Jefferson Davis "Boss" Hogg.
The Dukes were as honest and straight forward as one could be. Lots of chase scenes in the General Lee car. The TV show was
remade with the same title name for a 2005
motion picture starring Jessica Simpson, Johnny Knoxville, and Seann William Scott.
