According to our LucasFilm, LTD archive, in 1977 Kenner first made Han Solo with a small head. Clearly the Captain of the Millennium Falcon had a big ego, thus Han had to have a bigger head. (This last part was our speculation.) Actually, Kenner decided (without official explanation) to resculpt Han to have a larger head. Kenner used the large head version until the end of 1983.
