About AOTC Blue Cards

These are first released of Attack of the Clones (AOTC) Action Figures that began in 2002. They are also known as "Blue Cards" for their predominately blue packaging.

This was the first time blue was used in a Star Wars figure series. The next AOTC card series have a gold stripe on the left side of the card, and were dubbed, "Gold Cards."

 
 

About EPI Blue Cards

The original Episode I (EPI) Action Figures were produced 1998-1999 and had a red card back with a picture of Darth Maul, thus they are called "Episode I Red Cards." They are also called, "EPI" (short for Episode I), and "Commtech Cards" because each card comes with a small computer chip with each Episode I (Red Card) figure. The Commtech chips play recorded messages and actual voices from the figure in each package. A Commtech Reader is necessary to hear character the messages (sold separately, available in our Accessories store).

 
 

About Gold Cards

These "Gold Carded" figures have a gold color vertical stripe on the left side of the card packaging.

Yes, there is more purple on the card than gold, however purple package was first associated with Shadows of the Empire.

Gold Carded Action Figures have been discontinued from manufacturing.
